When a mother says she’s tired, don’t tell her that you did a lot of things today too.
When a mother says she needs to sleep, don’t tell her that you too didn’t sleep because of the heat.
When a mother asks for help, don’t just give her the minimum required.
When a mother says that she is tired, she means that she is already tired beyond her limits,
she has been tired for who knows how long.
When a mother says she needs to sleep, she means that she hasn’t slept for months, sometimes years, so much so that perhaps she is no longer able to sleep.
When a mother asks for help, she means that she has already done everything possible and even more,
It means that she needs to eat, to drink to wash,
It means that she has already canceled herself for too long.
When a mother asks she has already made an effort that she shouldn’t have to make.
Mothers should be told I’m here, I see you, I appreciate you, I know what you do.
Come and I’ll hug you.
