Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have settled in the US, but it hasnât been easy. The claims against the Royal Family have kept them in the spotlight and drawn criticism from commentators and professionals who have questioned their outbursts.
The Sussexes have run various enterprises, some of which were profitable, but their private lives has always fascinated the public. Just days after a shocking remark about their marriage not working, a royal expert has offered a damning assessment on Meghan Markle.
Famous royal novelist Tina Brown said Prince Harry has become a âlamb to the slaughterâ owing to his wifeâs conduct and that her ideals are âtotal crapâ.
Harry and Meghan moved to the US to start a new life away from any royal obligations they had done for years.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle
The three-person family made a big decision to leave the Royal Family, but they did it. After that, Harry and Meghan had Princess Lililbet, who turned three weeks ago.
Despite their wish to live a more quiet life, the coupleâs many claims against the Royal Family were made apparent in their now-infamous Oprah Winfrey interview, Netflix series, other interviews, and Harryâs tell-all memoir, Spare.
Harry and Meghan have also founded various businesses, including Meghanâs lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchid. The Duchess was disappointed by its initial reception when it launched this year.
In April, she was attacked for stealing the spotlight when a new jam flavor was released hours before Kate Middletonâs Trooping the Colour comeback.
Harry and Meghan Markle celebrate their engagement.
Unfortunately, the jam was criticized for its middling taste and high price.
Royal expert calls Meghan Markle âsensitive about any criticismâ
Tom Quinn, a royal analyst, said Meghan cried over âunfair criticismâ.
Meghanâs new online company, America Riviera Orchard, is the blemish. In May, he told the Mirror that Meghan was in tears when the brand launched and her new jam was criticized for being costly and unoriginal.
âShe now thinks everything she does will be unfairly criticized. Like her spouse, she thinks people are unfairly picking on her and doesnât understand why people donât like her work.
The royal expert said, âShe is especially sensitive about any criticism of her luxurious lifestyle in the US â from her point of view this is something to be admired not criticized.â
According to Harpers Bazaar, American Riviera Orchard aims to sell home decor, kitchen things including silverware and napkins, and cookbooks, per its February trademark registration.
The trademark states that the company will also sell âjellies, jams, marmalades, fruit preserves, edible oils and fats, and preserves, vegetable-based spreads, legume-based spreads, nut-based spreads, garlic-based spreads, sesame-based spreads, dairy-based spreads, nut butters, fruit butters
American Riviera also applied for trademarks on March 9 to sell cosmetics, wallpaper, yoga gear, and gardening tools.
Royal author believes Meghan Markle âhas the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world.â
Meghan Markleâs ambitious plan isnât widely believed to succeed.
The Diana Chronicles and The Palace Papers author Tina Brown lambasted Meghan Markle and Prince Harryâs post-royal careers on The Ankler podcast.
âEngland will make a career out of trashing Harry. Harry is good at being Prince Harry, Brown remarked.
The sadness lies in the fact that he is the most talented member of the Royal Family being a prince, which is his sole skill. Heâs great at it.â
Diana befriended the royal expert and author. Harry and Williamâs mother died weeks after they had lunch.
Brown was harsh on Meghan. She basically said the Duchess has never had a good idea.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visit Colombia
I think Prince Harry is enchanted by Meghan. Her problem is that Meghan has the worst judgment in the world. She excels at making mistakes⊠Really, she is.â
âSheâs a perfectionist about getting it wrong,â Brown said. Her issue is her inability to listen. She asks everyone for their input, then ignores it. Does what she wants. Unfortunately, all of her ideas are garbage.â
âHarry is the lamb to the slaughterâ
Harry and Meghan have been criticizing the Royal Family for years. After their controversial Oprah Winfrey interview, the royals were fed up by Harryâs memoir Spare.
King Charles banished the Sussexes from Frogmore Cottage days after Spareâs publication, and Prince William is apparently unwilling to reconcile with his brother.
Whoever caused the situation to escalate doesnât important. Brown said Prince Harry follows his wife âblindlyâ on The Ankler podcast.
âIn this situation, Harry is the lamb to the slaughter,â Brown said. Meghan impressed him much. She convinced him that she was the clever Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could make them stars and everything. He naively followed her like a child.â
Harryâs confession was the Royal Familyâs final straw. Rumors of the Duke releasing another book after his fatherâs death persist, and Harry confessed that he had to edit about half of Spareâs first draft, so most of it remains unpublished.
Prince Harry may not be the only royal with much to say about the trip. Royal analyst Jennie Bond said Meghan Markle has a âweapon in her back pocketâ to get ârevengeâ on the royals.
Markle wants ârevengeâ on the Royals?
Meghan Markle apparently kept a diary as a senior Royal.
The Duchess discussed her and Prince Harryâs life in California following their royal divorce in 2023 with The Cut. Meghan remembered her journal being found at Frogmore Cottage and that she didnât have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement when she and Harry left the monarchy.
You return and open drawers, thinking, âOh my gosh. Meghan said this was her journal entry.
On True Royalty TVâs The Royal Beat, analyst Roya Nikkhah said Meghanâs The Cut interview showed âthinly veiled threatsâ.
In Meghanâs interview with The Cut, there were subtle threats. She likely hopes it feels dangerous to the Royal Family. Many may say, âWeâre used to this by now,â leading to eye-rolling. Nikkah noted that the words, âI have a lot to say until I donâtâ and, âIâve never signed anything that stops me from talkingâ conveyed a strong impression.
And, of course, the reminder that she keeps a journal, and [her] revelation that, âwhen we came back to Windsor, to Frogmore Cottage for the Jubilee, I rediscovered my journal that Iâd left thereââI was astonished that she had left a highly private diary in Windsor rather than taking it back.
Nikkah said, âSheâs mentioned a couple of times in the last year or two that she kept a journal, and I think there is a very strong inference that Meghan could write her own memoir.â
A âpotential weapon in her back pocketâ
Meghan has yet to publish her memoir from her time in the Royal Family, but royal expert Jennie Bond suggests that exposing it may be âin her back pocket.â
âItâs more than two years since she gave that interview, and she has steered clear of Royal Family controversy since,â she told OK!
No doubt, the journal she referenced will remain a weapon in her back pocket if she needs revenge. She has behaved with caution and elegance since Oprah and the documentary series.â
Bond said, âI think she is looking forwards, not backwards and moving on with her life. I donât think we should prematurely warn about any memoir.â
