While seated in the Cabinet Room, Musk sported a bright red cap reading Gulf of America, a reference to former President Donald Trump’s earlier renaming of the Gulf of Mexico. The hat’s design mirrored the recognizable “Make America Great Again” style, complete with the numbers “45 – 47,” nodding to Trump’s unique role as both the 45th and now 47th U.S. president.

In video clips circulating online, the Chief of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was seen wearing a red cap stacked atop a black one.
