The actor recently unveiled an enormous cover-up of the inking on his bicep. He is far from the first star to ditch a tattoo dedicated to a lover after a split
As if break-ups aren’t hard enough to deal with, some stars also have to manage how to cover up, or even remove, a tribute to their ex on their bodies.
In the blissfully sweet honeymoon phase, some celebs make the decision to brand themselves with their significant others name or initials – but, unfortunately, some A-list relationships don’t last forever.
Sylvester Stallone, 76, recently covered up a giant tattoo of his wife Jennifer Flavin on his right bicep –alluding to the fact that their relationship might all be over.
The Rocky star covered the tat of Flavin’s face with a picture of Butkus, Rocky’s bull mastiff from the hit movies.
But Stallone’s publicist insisted there are no problems between the A-List pair and insisted it was all a misunderstanding over a botched refresh of his wife’s portrait on his arm.
He would be far from the first famous face to regret getting a tattoo in tribute to an ex partner.
Others include Johnny Depp, who tweaked a tattoo for his ex-girlfriend Winona Ryder, and Pete Davidson, who was forced to alter a pair of bunny ears he got for his ex Ariana Grande after their split.
Here, FEMAIL reveals the stars who transformed their tattoo tributes after a heartbreaking split…
