We always noticed her when we walked through the park – an elderly woman sitting on the same bench, watching the sunrise. She seemed so peaceful, like she was in another world. One day, curiosity got the best of us, and we stopped to say hello.
She smiled warmly and told us, “This bench is where I met him. We watched the sunrise together for 50 years.” Her eyes sparkled as she talked about her late husband.
But one day, we went to the park, and the old woman was no longer there. Never again…
We placed a plaque on the bench: “For the woman who taught us to treasure every sunrise.” We still sit there sometimes, thinking of her.
