A few hours ago, homepage Tottenham Hotspur announced the completion of the contract with Timo Werner. The German striker joined the Roosters on loan from RB Leipzig. The contract is valid until the end of the 2023/2024 season with a buyout clause.
Werner will wear shirt number 16 at Tottenham Hotspur. The 27-year-old star began his career with club TSV Steinhaldenfeld before joining youth team VfB Stuttgart. In August 2013, Werner made his Stuttgart debut at the Europa League playground, thereby becoming the youngest player in history to debut for the German team.
In total, Werner has 103 appearances, bringing 14 goals in the Stuttgart shirt. In September 2013, Werner became the youngest player to score for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.
In the 2016/2017 season, Werner joined RB Leipzig. The 27-year-old star spent an impressive first season with 21 goals in 32 matches in all competitions, making a major contribution to helping Leipzig finish 2nd in the Bundesliga, winning the right to participate in the Champions League.
After 4 extremely successful seasons in Leipzig, Werner landed at Chelsea in July 2020. Contrary to expectations , the German striker played erratically at The Blues.
