Manchester United receives positive news ahead of the crucial match against Bayern Munich

According to the Mirror, Manchester United is receiving good news after learning about the injury status of Serge Gnabry on the Bayern Munich side.

Manchester United needs to secure a victory against Bayern Munich while hoping for draws in the matches involving Galatasaray and Copenhagen to have a chance of advancing to the direct qualification stage in the Champions League. Under the management of Erik ten Hag, the team currently sits at the bottom of Group A with only one win in five matches.

Gnabry’s inability to play is good news for the Red Devils

The Dutch coach is feeling the pressure after a disastrous 0-3 defeat to Bournemouth last Saturday, where Manchester United displayed vulnerabilities, causing concern among fans as the crucial match against Bayern approaches.

However, ten Hag received positive news regarding Serge Gnabry‘s injury suffered during Bayern’s 1-5 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt. Gnabry had to leave the pitch and will be absent from the final group-stage match of the 2023/2024 Champions League.

Bayern issued a statement: “Serge Gnabry suffered a muscle strain in the 1-5 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt, a result that occurred last night. Gnabry, who was substituted after 5 minutes on the field, will miss Bayern’s upcoming matches.”

Nevertheless, this is only part of the equation, as Manchester United must also depend on the results of the other two teams to determine their fate. It has been a dismal Champions League campaign for the Red Devils as they are still searching for their second win of the season.
