“Heaton believes Ronaldo is better than Messi.”

Tom Heaton, who has been associated with Cristiano Ronaldo during both of CR7’s stints at Manchester United, from his arrival at Old Trafford as a teenager to his return in 2021, believes that Cristiano surpasses his perennial rival Lionel Messi in the debate for the greatest of all time.

According to Heaton, “In my opinion, the G.O.A.T is Cristiano Ronaldo. I’ve been at Old Trafford long enough to witness how he progressed. He developed over time and became the best player in the world. I signed when he came back for the second time, and I saw the same motivation, with Ronaldo being the first one in the gym, along with an insane work ethic. What he has achieved is truly remarkable.”

Ronaldo has scored 118 goals for Manchester United in the iconic red jersey. The Portuguese international secured the Premier League title, the Champions League trophy, and his first Ballon d’Or during his initial spell at the club. In his second stint, he notched 27 goals in 54 appearances.

However, following a controversial interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo decided to part ways with Manchester United. Currently, CR7 is playing for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

At the age of 38, Cristiano continues to demonstrate the prowess of a top striker. After 16 rounds in the Saudi Pro League, CR7 has contributed 16 goals and 8 assists. His team is currently in second place, trailing Al Hilal by 7 points.
