This was her second seizure since her pregnancy. Cicalese said the last thing she remembered was putting her children to bed, then going to take a shower after a stressful day.

I turned on the shower, that’s all I remember, said Cicalese. When she woke up, she realized that she was in the hospital.

She said the incident had been traumatic for her son.

Every day is a challenge for us. He asks me a billion times if I’m going to be okay. He’ll tell me ‘are you going to have another seizure,’ no I’m ok. ‘Are you going to die today?’ No, I’m not going to die today, said Cicalese.

She added that Sal had told his “nana” that he took the baby and left to get help because he did not want his sister to see their mom death.

He added that this story was a great example for parents to discuss how to respond to an emergency with their children.

Talk to them about it. What do you need to do? How do you dial 911. What are the proper uses for 911? Also, how do you get out of your house? What to do if there is a fire, said Gilleland.

Sal did the right thing and the parents revealed they never thought Sal all these steps, all that Sal did were his instincts.
