Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Separate After 19 Years of Marriage, Reports Claim
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have ended their marriage after nearly two decades together, according to new reports.
“Nicole’s sister has been her anchor, and the entire Kidman family has rallied around her,” a source told People.
“She didn’t want this to happen. She’s been trying to keep the marriage alive.” TMZ reported that the pair have allegedly been living apart “since early summer.”
Urban, 57, and Kidman, 58, share two daughters — Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
Reps for both stars did not immediately reply to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
The Oscar-winning actress and the country singer first crossed paths in 2005 at an event in Australia, marrying the following year in Sydney.
Kidman has previously shared that, from the very beginning of their relationship, she and Urban made a conscious choice to avoid texting.
“We don’t text,” she told Parade. “We call each other. That’s how it started — I didn’t know how to text at first, and it just stuck. Now we don’t do it at all.”
She added, “It’s always voice to voice, or skin to skin, as we like to say. We’re constantly talking, and we FaceTime, but we never text — because sometimes texts can give the wrong impression.”
Alongside their no-texting pact, Kidman also said that honesty was one of the foundations of their marriage.
In 2023, Urban echoed that sentiment in an interview with Fox News Digital, emphasizing that “family always comes first” in their household.
“It’s all about balance,” he explained. “Of course, things go off balance sometimes, but then we work to bring it back. It’s never perfectly steady, but we make it work.”
Before her relationship with Urban, the Big Little Lies star was married to Tom Cruise, whom she met while filming Days of Thunder. Together, they adopted two children — Isabella and Connor.
