Tottenham entered the match against West Ham with the task of winning to continue the Top 4 race and end a disappointing streak over the past month. However, they had to endure another pain.

The home team launched an early attack and quickly took the lead in the 11th minute with a header from defender Cristian Romero. The Argentine player, who returned after a suspension, immediately made an impact.

It’s worth noting that this was Romero’s third goal in the Premier League this season, equaling his record from the previous season. However, this was his first goal for Tottenham Hotspur.

In the minutes that followed, Tottenham continued to attack relentlessly and created a series of dangerous chances but couldn’t find the second goal. They paid the price early in the second half. Kudus took a shot from outside the box, and the bouncing ball reached Bowen, who shot and beat Vicario.

The surprise continued in the 74th minute. Defender Udogie made a careless pass back, and goalkeeper Vicario had to dive to push the ball away from Bowen’s feet. However, Ward Prowse was there at the right time. His first header hit the crossbar, but with the second attempt, the ball went into the empty net.

The final result of this match was 2-1 in favor of West Ham. This defeat, while keeping Tottenham in 5th place, has leveled them on points with Manchester United, and they are now only ahead of their rivals based on goal difference.
